CEI SEEMO Award covers investigative reports [Europe]

Journalists from Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine can compete in this contest.

The CEI SEEMO Award for Outstanding Merit in Investigative Journalism will honor reporters operating under difficult conditions.

This year, priority is given to investigative stories covering the coronavirus crisis, especially considering the vital role played in this context by accurate journalism and reliable access to information.

The competition has two categories: professional journalists and young journalists (up to 30 years), awarding EUR4,000 and EUR1,000, respectively.

The award will be presented during the South East Europe Media Forum (SEEMF) to be held in the fall.

The deadline is Sept. 1.
