Fellowship funds reporting on gender, development and civil society issues in Senegal [Worldwide]

The International Reporting Project (IRP) is accepting applications for reporting fellowships on on gender, development and civil society issues in Senegal. The reporting trip will take place Nov. 10 to 20.
Participants are expected to produce stories and/or other reported content in the form articles, slideshows, video, audio, blog posts, infographics, social media posts or more.
The IRP will provide round-trip air tickets to Senegal and will pay for visas, hotel costs, local transportation and most meals. 
The deadline is Sept. 24.

The officer will work on a communications strategy to raise the profile of the organization and its activities among Irish and international audiences.
Candidates must have demonstrable experience in press office work or journalism, including a substantial understanding of, and contacts in, Irish media. Previous work experience in developing countries or humanitarian organizations is an advantage. 
The salary is EUR34,480.79.

The Globe Post is looking for freelance reporters in Europe, Middle East, post-Soviet countries and East Asia, as well unpaid interns in Washington.
Reporters can develop their own story ideas or work on an assignment basis. They will work with experienced editors in North America and Europe. Candidates should have a keen eye for detail and good knowledge of the area or country they’re located. Preference will be given to stories about civil liberties, media freedom, political rights, humanitarian crisis and minorities at risk.
Interns will contribute on different subjects including the Trump administration, foreign affairs, health and fitness, in addition to curating viral content. The deadline to apply for the internship is Oct. 8.
