Deadline Extended: Gender-based Journalism Workshop [Spain]

Anyone interested in journalism and feminism can join this workshop.

The UAM/El País Journalism School organizes a workshop focusing on journalism and gender Nov. 25 in Madrid.

Participants will learn the keys to producing information that features a gender perspective, including source finding and language use. The workshop will be led by María Sahuquillo.

Registration is ongoing until spots are filled. The cost is EUR25.

Journalism Contest Accepting Entries [Russia]

Professional and citizen journalists living in Russia can submit their work.

The Russian Union of Journalists and the Mediacongress "The Commonwealth of Journalists" are accepting entries for the journalism contest "I live in Russia."

Participants can submit TV stories, video, documentaries (up to 5 minutes long), photo essays and long-form multimedia stories about people who live in the Russian Federation.

The winner will be invited to the International Media Forum "Dialogue of Cultures" in St. Petersburg, Russia, with all expenses paid by Mediacongress.

The deadline is Nov. 13.
