Fellowship for journalists open [Worldwide]

Journalists who want to create innovative approaches to social issues can apply for this fellowship.
The Open Society Fellowship seeks proposals that address new and radical forms of ownership, governance, entrepreneurship and financialization. 
Fellows will receive a stipend of up to US$100,000 to produce a book, journalistic or academic articles, art projects, a series of convenings, a joint-work product or more.
Proposals will be accepted from anywhere in the world, although proficiency in spoken and written English is required.

CNN London offers internship programs [EU]

Recent broadcast journalism graduates or graduates from a related field seeking a career in journalism can apply for an internship in London. 
CNN hosts several internships ranging from newsgathering to special feature programs, digital and sports.
The next intern program will run from Sept. 1 to Dec. 31.
Candidates must be British/EU citizens or have the right to work in the United Kingdom long term.
The deadline is July 1.

Program on digital path to innovation, entrepreneurship for journalists available [Latin America]

Professional and citizen journalists, digital entrepreneurs and technologists from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama and Peru can apply for this program. 
The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), with the support of Professional Fellows, is offering the program "A Digital Path to Entrepreneurship and Innovation for Latin America"  Oct. 8 to Nov. 17 in the United States.
The aim of the program is to create media business models that harness the power of digital tools to generate sustainable new revenue. Fellows will visit digital media organizations, receive hands-on training on digital tools and have the opportunity to workshop their digital media projects with media entrepreneurs. Participants will then be placed in media organizations across the United States for four-week fellowships.
They will also be exposed to events and opportunities that will allow them to experience U.S. life, spotlighting its diversity. The program will conclude with a Professional Fellows Congress in Washington.
Fluency in English is required.

FOTODOC Center focuses on Photo contest between people and state [Worldwide]

Professionals and amateur photographers worldwide can compete in this contest.
The FOTODOC Center for Documentary Photography at the Sakharov Center in Russia has launched the international photo competition "Direct look." The contest focuses on problems pertaining to relations among people, society and state, as well as ways of addressing these problems.
Entries must comprise series of images representing reports, stories or long-term photography projects. There are three categories: "The Problem," "The Conflict" and "The Compromise.

Photographs must have been taken in the past four years. All entry descriptions and image captions must be in English.
The winners in each category will receive RUB30,000 (US$483) cash prize.
