The Seattle Times offers paid, 10-week internships for students pursuing careers in journalism.
Interns will work on digital and interactivesgraphicsphotojournalisminvestigative reportingcopy editing and reporting. They will also attend weekly training sessions with staff in Seattle.
Applicants must have a demonstrated commitment to print and online journalism. One previous internship at a daily news organization is preferred; multimedia experience is a plus.
The application deadline is Nov. 15.

Fact-checking and data journalism Online Course Available [Latin America]

The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas, with the support of Google News Lab, organizes an online training on fact-checking and data journalism Nov. 6 to Dec. 3.

Journalists and journalism students interested in the verification of public discourse and data journalism can register for this free course in Spanish.
Instructor Laura Zommer will teach participants fact-checking techniques and the origins and fundamentals of data journalism.
Students can complete the activities when it's most convenient for them; however, there are suggested deadlines for completing the four modules.
