Registration for MOOC on investigative reporting ongoing [Worldwide]

Journalists interested in investigative journalism can participate in this four-week course.

The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas, through its Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), hosts the free course  “Investigative reporting in the digital age” Feb. 3 to March 1.

The course is divided into four modules covering: an introduction to investigative reporting; plans and collaborations; crowdsourcing, social media and confrontational interviews; and the latest data journalism and dataviz tools for investigative journalism.

The instructors are Lise Olsen, investigative reporter and editor at The Texas Observer; Alejandra Xanic, Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter and co-founder of Quinto Elemento Lab in Mexico City; Lee Zurik, Emmy-award winning broadcast journalist at Fox TV in New Orleans; and Denise Malan, senior training director for Investigative Reporters & Editors and data journalist.

The course is accessible to anyone with an internet connection.
