Thomson Reuters Foundation offers course on human trafficking, slavery [West Africa]

Full-time journalists and regular contributors to media organizations in West Africa can apply for free training.

The Thomson Reuters Foundation offers the course "Reporting human trafficking and modern day slavery" Nov. 18 to 22 in Lagos.

Participants will learn new reporting skills and expand their knowledge about human trafficking and slavery to produce high-quality coverage of the issue.

The Thomson Reuters Foundation will pay travel and lodging costs for journalists traveling from outside Lagos.

Applicants must have at least three years of professional experience and a good level in spoken and written English.

The deadline is Oct. 1.
