Journalists ages 18 to 32 are invited to enter this contest for a chance to win a fully-funded trip.Climate Tracker will select eight young journalists to attend and cover the Global Climate Strike, the UN Youth Climate Summit, the UN Climate Action Summit and other events taking place Sept. 19 to 26 in New York.
Contestants must write an article about a youth movement or young leader pushing for climate action in their country. Articles must have at least 500 words, include a multimedia element and be published in a news site, blog, newspaper or magazine at a national, regional, local or international level.
The fellows will also receive training on climate and journalism and participate in group interviews with high-level officials/experts.
The deadline to publish and submit an article is Aug. 10.
