Journalists who are fluent in English and have at least two years of experience can apply for the Wealth of Nations - Illicit finance (NORAD) program.
The Thomson Reuters Foundation, in partnership with the Institute for the Advancement of Journalism, is looking for journalists based anywhere in Africa to take part in a long-term scheme that will develop their ability to report on illicit finance flows.
Selected journalists will participate in an intensive training covering illicit finance, reporting on companies, accounts and budgets and investigative techniques. The first workshop will take place Oct. 15 to 19 in Johannesburg, followed by a workshop in early December.
Participants will propose one more story ideas and receive modest funding to realize their stories. The organization also covers air travel expenses, accommodation, local transfers and meals relating to the training.
The deadline is Sept. 9.
