Casper Líbero offers course on fact-checking techniques [Brazil]

Students, journalists and others interested in fact-checking can attend this course.
Casper Líbero College offers the course "Fact-checking - techniques for finding facts" on Oct. 20 and 27 in São Paulo.
Topics include an overview of fact-checking; fake news, post-truth and misinformation; debunking and fact-checking; verification in today's journalism; what can be checked; step-by-step of fact-checking; search tools, spreadsheets and access to information law; what lies between what's true and false; how to pack content; selection of checkable sentences; searching for references; classifications of truth; and content formatting.
The instructor is journalist Taís Seibt, PhD student and co-founder of Filtro Fact-Checking.
The deadline is Oct. 11. Registration costs BRL550. There is a discount for Casper Líbero students, alumni and staff.
