Journalists from all types of media can apply for a grant.
The European Commission is accepting proposals for data-driven news productions on European issues.
Possible projects can make use of data research, visualize data to compare viewpoints across Europe, help audiences understand complex topics through clear and factual reporting, contextualize story timelines and/or encourage interaction with the audience.
Proposals must establish a professional editorial team with members from at least four EU Member States to gather and produce content on a regular basis.
The total budget available is EUR1.9 million. The maximum grant per project is EUR700,000.
The deadline is Sept. 25.
