Radio contest seeks programs on budget tracking, social accountability [Malawi]

Community radio journalists can enter this contest.
The Malawi Economic Justice Network (MEJN) and the Social Accountability Media Initiative (SAMI) organize the Malawi Reporting Awards.
Contestants must submit three social accountability radio programs and their accompanying written scripts, investigating the effectiveness and impact of the procurement, distribution, use and care of textbooks on primary school learners in Malawi. The programs could also cover other social accountability activities, such as budget tracking, in the education sector.
Programs should last between 15 and 30 minutes and build upon each other to reveal a linear progress of an investigation and its conclusions.
Entries may be on a CD or Flash Drive and submitted along with hard copies of the scripts in person, via mail or electronically.
Entries must have been broadcast between May 1 and Aug. 31, 2018 in either English or Chichewa or any other Malawian local language. Programs in other local languages than Chichewa must be accompanied by a synopsis in English or Chichewa.
Awards will be given in four categories. The first, second and third place winners will receive US$600, US$400 and US$250, respectively.
