East African journalists and students are invited to submit works to this contest.
The Merck More than a Mother Media Recognition Awards seek to raise awareness about the critical role the media can play in breaking the stigma around infertility in East Africa.
The contest is open to print and online, photos and videos entries published or aired before Aug. 30, 2017.
The winners in each category will receive US$1,000 to US$1,500. There is also a grand prize of US$5,000 for journalists and US$3,000 for students.
The deadline is Aug. 31.
