Professional journalists in Brazil can apply for this award.
The CNT Journalism Prize, organized by Brazil's National Confederation of Transportation (CNT, in Portuguese), aims to promote a better understanding of transportation in a variety of sectors and highlight potential problems within the system.
Submitted work, which must be related to transportation and environmental issues, must have been published or broadcast in the Brazilian media between Aug. 12, 2016, and Aug. 7, 2017.
The organizer will award a total of BRL270,000 cash prizes to the winners of each category - print (newspaper and magazine), photography, radio, TV and internet - as well as the Special Award for Environment and Transportation.
The entry deadline is Aug. 7.
