Summer institute focuses on news literacy [Southeast Asia]

The Faculty of Journalism and Communication at Vietnam National University will host its first Summer Institute for News Literacy Fellows Aug. 1 to 3 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Participants will learn how to apply news literacy and its core elements to their work. The program's goal is to build a strong network of media professionals who care for news production and news consumption.
The organizer will provide accomodation, meals, local transportation and teaching materials. Fellows must pay for their own international travel to Vietnam.
Journalists from Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Timor-Leste and Vietnam are encouraged to apply.
The deadline is July 1.
