Knight Center offers free online course on fact-checking in Portuguese [Brazil]

The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas, in partnership with Brazil's National Association of Newspapers and with the support of Google News Lab, is offering the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on "Fact-checking, the tool to combat fake news" in Portuguese.
The course will be held June 5 to July 2, with instructor Cristina Tardáguila, director of Agência Lupa, Brazil's first fact-checking agency.
Participants will learn the origins of fact-checking and major sites for the practice around the world, techniques and methodologies behind fact-checking, ethical principles of checkers and the background of some of the most influential works in the field. They will also complete practical exercises at their own pace.
The course is free and accessible to anyone from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. Those interested in receiving a certificate must pay a US$30 administrative fee.
