New Holland launches photojournalism contest [South America]

Photojournalists and amateur photographers can compete in this contest.

The New Holland Award for Photojournalism, sponsored by farm equipment manufacturer New Holland, honors works that portray rural life and agricultural work in South America.

The competition selects photographs to be part of a traveling exhibition in major cities. Photos must have been taken within two years prior to the deadline.

Cash prizes range from BRL5,000 (US$924) to BRL15,000 (US$2,773). Photos that do not receive prizes but are selected for exhibition will be acquired for BRL600 (US$110) each.


The deadline is Jan. 31, 2021.

Registration ongoing for Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar Week [Worldwide]

Photojournalists and students are invited to this online event.

The Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar, founded by a group of photojournalists in 1973, will host its annual conference Nov. 9 to 14.

The event will feature virtual presentations, contest judging, product demonstrations and more. Speakers will include award-winning photojournalists aimed at helping photographers of any skill level. 

Registration is ongoing and will be free for all live events. Recorded sessions can be purchased for US$29 up to Nov. 14. After Nov. 14, the price increases to US$49.
