Visual storytelling contest seeks entries[Worldwide]

Professional visual journalists can submit digital projects to a contest.

The World Press Photo Digital Storytelling Contest seeks entries that include professional photography in combination with, but not limited to, audio and visual elements like video, animation, graphics, illustrations, sound or text.

The photo contest has eight categories: general news, spot news, contemporary issues, environment, portraits, nature, sports and long-term projects. The digital storytelling contest has three categories: interactive, long form and short form.

Winners will be invited to a small online festival. The winners of Photo of the Year and Photo Story of the Year will also receive EUR5,000 (US$6,087) each.

Entries must have been published in 2020 in English or with English subtitles.

The deadline is Jan. 12 2021.
