The Sigma Awards, sponsored by the Google News Initiative, are accepting entries.
This year's competition aims to highlight the best data journalism done about the pandemic as well as other topics such as politics, sports and the environment.
Works must have been published in 2020. Entries in languages other than English should offer as much translation as possible.
The overall cash prize is US$5,000, which will be distributed among the winners.
The deadline is Feb. 1, 2021.
