Jabuti Award seeks literary works [Brazil]

Authors and journalists can compete for this award.

The Jabuti Award, organized by Câmara Brasileira do Livro is offered in four areas: literature, essays, books and innovation.

The contest is accepting essays, nonfiction stories and literary journalism. The works must have been published in Portuguese between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2019 in Brazil.

Winners will receive cash prizes and the Jabuti trophy. The winner of book of the year will be awarded BRL100,000.

The deadline is May 29.
