Centre for Media Studies offers summer school for investigative journalists [Europe, Caucasus, Central Asia]



Journalists from the Baltic countries can apply for a scholarship to participate in this program.

The Summer School on Investigative Reporting, organized by the Centre for Media Studies at SSE Riga, will take place Aug. 20 to 22 in Riga, Latvia. There will be also a pre-seminar that will take place Aug. 19.

The program will explore skills needed for journalism investigations including identifying topics, finding and proving information, interviewing sources and producing content. 

The keynote speaker of the school is Nina Jankowicz, disinformation fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington.

The early bird registration fee is EUR250, the regular fee is EUR350. 

Participants from the Baltic countries are eligible for a scholarship provided by the Anne-Marie and Gustaf Ander Foundation, which includes the registration fee and accommodation.

The early bird deadline is April 30; the regular deadline is June 20.
