Carter Center offers Grant for mental health reporting [Latin America]


Journalists who are fluent in English and Spanish and have at least three years of experience can apply for this grant.

The Carter Center in Atlanta and the University of La Sabana, in partnership with the Gabriel García Márquez Foundation for New Ibero-American Journalism (FNPI), have launched the Rosalynn Carter Grant for Journalism in Mental Health 2020-2021.

Two journalists will receive US$7,000 each and guidance from mental health experts to investigate a topic related to mental health or mental illness in Latin America for a year. 

Grantees will also attend training on journalism and mental health at the Carter Center at the beginning and end of their grant period, with all travel expenses covered. 

The deadline is June 30.
