Journalists who cover science, technology and innovation can compete for an award.
Brazil's National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq/MCT) has launched the 2020 José Reis Award.
Contestants must submit a maximum of 15 works that were published or broadcast in any format.
The winner will receive BRL20,000 and airfare to attend the Annual Meeting of the Brazilian Society for the Progress of Science (SBPC, in Portuguese) in July at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte.
The deadline is April 24.
