Reporting grants available [Africa]

Journalists in the 11 Nile Basin countries can apply.

InfoNile is accepting proposals for a reporting grant that will fund in-depth investigative multimedia journalism stories on biodiversity in the Nile Basin.

Proposals should focus on a lake in the journalist's country where biodiversity is being threatened, connecting the science, research and data to the reality of the threats.

The eligible countries are Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Burundi, South Sudan, Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea and Egypt.

Stories can be published in other languages but should also be translated into English.

The deadline is Feb. 28.
