IWMF offers Mentorship Program [US]

Women journalists from underrepresented backgrounds can apply for this program.

The International Women's Media Foundation (IWMF), supported by the Grant for Equity in Reporting from the CBS Corporation, organizes the Gwen Ifill Mentorship Program in honor of journalist Gwen Ifill.

The initiative aims to address the lack of diversity and women in leadership positions across newsrooms in the United States.

The program will start at the NABJ NAHJ Conference in Washington, on July 6 to 7 and run through January 2021.

The mentorship will cover professional development topics including cultivating networks, negotiating salary, building a portfolio and applying for fellowships and grants.

The deadline is March 8.
