Education journalism contest seeks entries [Brazil]

Journalists and students can compete for reporting grants and cash prizes.

Brazil's Association of Education Journalists (JEDUCA, in Portuguese) and Fundação Itaú Social organize an education journalism competition.

The contest has two categories: professional journalist and student. The journalist category will offer four reporting grants worth BRL8,000 each. The student category will award three term papers with up to BRL3,000.

Professional journalists must have at least two years of experience. Students must be expected to graduate in 2019 or have completed their papers in 2017 or 2018.

The deadline is Sept. 25.
