Diversity fellowships available [US]

Journalists of color committed to investigative work are invited to apply for this program.

The Fund for Investigative Journalism (FIJ), in partnership with the National Association for Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) and the Miami Herald Media Company, organizes a three-month diversity fellowship.

The program aims to expand opportunities for diverse journalists in watchdog reporting, with an emphasis on journalists of color.

Projects should dig into issues of consequence and of interest to readers of the Miami Herald and el Nuevo Herald.

The fellowship provides US$30,000 that can be used for reporting costs, such as travel, document fees, transcriptions and equipment rentals.The Miami Herald Media Company will provide the fellow with workspace and other editorial support.

The deadline is Oct. 7.
