Journalists with at least 10 years of experience can apply for these part-time positions.The Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting is looking for regional coordinators for the Rainforest Journalism Fund in the Congo Basin and Southeast Asia.
Responsibilities include helping to identify regional and local news outlets that the Center will partner; conducting a baseline survey of coverage of tropical rainforest issues; promoting the grant opportunities through direct outreach; translating communications for dissemination in the media; and more.
Candidates must have an established network of contacts in the region and a strong knowledge of environmental, political, social and health issues related to tropical rainforests. Fluency in English and a local/regional language is also required.
