Photo contest highlights human rights issues [Worldwide]

Amateur and professional photographers can enter this competition.

The Photography 4 Humanity Global Prize invites photographers around the world to bring to life the power of human rights through their images.

Entries must relate to human rights issues illustrating courage, despair, hope, injustice, hate, compassion, human rights failures or victories in ways small and large. Photos must have a direct, positive impact on human rights issues by inspiring and mobilizing people to take action.

The winner will receive US$5,000, and his or her work will be exhibited at the United Nations in New York, along with images from the top 10 finalists.

The deadline is Oct. 15.
