Online data journalism course available [Latin America]

Journalists with or without experience in data journalism can register for this online workshop in Spanish.

The  (CFPD) at the University of Guadalajara will offer a data journalism course Aug. 19 to Oct. 20.Center for Digital Journalism

Participants will learn how to extract data, clean it, put it into context, combine it, verify it and make it work inside a story and an investigation. The workshop will also address the basics of data visualization. The instructor is Hassel Fallas.

The cost is MXN3,800 for Mexicans and US$190 for those living outside Mexico.

The deadline to register is Aug. 11.
