Journalists with at least three years of experience from several countries in Latin America and the Caribbean can apply for this opportunity.
As part of the Investigative Reporting Initiative in the Americas, the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) and CONNECTAS have launched a new edition of the ICFJ/ CONNECTAS Fellowship.
The initiative seeks to encourage and strengthen the quality and independence of journalism in the region, offering support to high-impact investigative journalism.
Eligible journalists must be from Bolivia, Ecuador, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Bahamas, Saint Lucia, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname or Trinidad and Tobago
Candidates must send a detailed reporting proposal, including the three main revelations that will come out of their projects and its social relevance.
Selected journalists will receive mentorship and US$3,000 to complete the investigation in five months.
The deadline is Aug. 11.
