Michigan State University offers the course "Become a journalist: report the news!" through Coursera.

The five-unit course is self-paced and can be taken at any time. It has subtitles in English, Greek and Arabic.

Participants will learn best practices and ethical standards for news gathering processes. Topics include journalism's impact on societal issues and trends, career opportunities, the journalistic portfolio and more.
