
The UONGOZI Institute of African Leadership for Sustainable Development is accepting entries for its annual Leadership Essay Competition.
This year, contestants must write about their perspective on leadership as it relates to sustainable development in Africa, answering the question: “If you were an African leader, how would you promote sustainable use of the renewable natural resources for fostering socio-economic transformation in Africa?”
Essays must be written in English.
The top five winners will receive cash prizes. The overall winner will be awarded US$2,000. They will travel to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, to receive their awards at a ceremony to be held during the Africa Leadership Forum Dinner Gala on Aug. 29.
The submission deadline is June 21.
