Newsroom Leadership Program available for journalists [Asia Pacific]

Emerging newsroom leaders fluent in English can apply for this yearlong fellowship.

The Google News Initiative and the Columbia University Journalism of School are accepting candidates for the GNI Newsroom Leadership Program, which aims to enhance the leadership skills and decision-making capacity of journalists in the Asia-Pacific region.

The program features four weeks of on-site classroom sessions to be held in New York, Mountain View, California and Hong Kong or Tokyo, in addition to individual coaching throughout the year.

Each fellow will also work on a specific project that is relevant to their newsroom within the main fellowship topics: technology, monetization and data.

Applicants should be working full-time in editorial positions at news organizations and endorsed by their employers.

The deadline is June 26.
