The Alfred Fried Photography Award seeks pictures that capture human efforts toward a peaceful world and the quest for beauty and goodness in our lives.
The organizers are Photographische Gesellschaft (PHG) and Edition Lammerhuber, in partnership with UNESCO, the Austrian Parliament, the Austrian Parliamentary Reporting Association, the International Press Institute (IPI) and the World Press Photo Foundation.
Contestants must submit more than five photographs that share a theme or concept and title.
The winner of the Peace Image of the Year will receive EUR10,000. The top five photographers will be awarded the Alfred Fried Photography Award Medal.
The deadline is June 2.
