Poynter is organizing "Covering the 2020 Census " March 4 and 5 in Washington and March 17 to 19 in St. Petersburg, Florida.
This program aims to provide journalists with the sources, background, context and data skills they need to cover how the U.S. government counts its residents.
The instructors are D’Vera Cohn, a senior writer and editor focusing on immigration and demographics at Pew Research Center, and Paul Overberg, reporter for The Wall Street Journal.
There are limited travel scholarships available for both workshops. Applicants must apply to only one workshop.
