Banco do Nordeste offers reporting contest on development initiatives [Brazil]

News stories on northeast Brazil are eligible for cash prizes.

Brazil's Banco do Nordeste organizes a competition to stimulate debate and raise awareness on the importance of innovative actions in development, with emphasis on the democratization of credit, economic growth and social inclusion in one of the poorest regions of Brazil.

Stories should have been published or broadcast in 2018 in one of Brazil's nine northeastern states, northern Minas Gerais and northern Espírito Santo.

A total of BRL234,000 will be distributed across one grand prize and winners in print, broadcast, photo and online categories.

The deadline is March 29, 2019.
