GroundTruth Project offers reporting fellowship [Worldwide]

Freelance journalists who want to report stories in the Middle East can apply for this program.

The GroundTruth Project, in partnership with the James W. Foley Legacy Foundation, offers a US$10,000 fellowship.

The fellowship will support a freelance journalist who wants to report on stories in the Middle East that are under-covered by the mainstream media.

Applicants should present a proposal for stories about education, health, culture, art, food, faith or other expressions of life in a region where too often reporters only focus on conflict.

The selected fellow will receive a stipend, a budget, as well as medical insurance and field reporting expenses. The fellowship also includes mentorship and editorial support.

The deadline is Jan. 11, 2019.
