Science photography competition accepting entries [Brazil]

Professional and amateur photographers can compete for cash prizes.

The National Council for Scientific and Technological Development  (CNPq) organizes a photo contest on science, technology and innovation.

The contest has two categories: images taken with photo cameras and images taken with special instruments. The first, second and third place in each category will receive BRL8,000, BRL5,000 and BRL2,000, respectively.

The first-place winner in each category will also receive airfare and accommodation to attend the Annual Meeting of the Brazilian Society for the Advancement of Science (SBPC, in Portuguese) in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul.

The deadline is Jan. 18, 2019.
