MINDS offers workshop on election, governance [West Africa]

Journalists and others interested in civic issues can apply to attend this workshop.
The Mandela Institute for Development Studies (MINDS) is organizing the West Africa Regional Civic Education Workshop in Elections and Governance Dec. 4 and 5 in Cotonou, Benin.
The workshop aims to create awareness, enhance knowledge and develop relevant skills in electoral and governance processes and leadership among participants, in order for them to effectively communicate and apply them in influencing and mobilizing the youth in their countries.
Participants must be Benin, Cameroon, Chad, Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea Bissau, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Mauritania, São Tomé, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo.
The organizer will cover travel and workshop expenses.
The deadline is Oct. 17.
