Investigative reporting contest available [MENA]

Journalists from Arab countries who have produced investigations through ARIJ or investigated an issue on their own are eligible for this prize.
The Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism (ARIJ), based in Jordan, has launched its 2018 investigative journalism prize.
The contest is open to journalists who have produced investigations through ARIJ in five media categories: multimedia investigations, feature film (minimum 12 minutes in length), short investigative film (8 to 12 minutes in length), multimedia investigation about the environment and short or feature film that focuses on human rights.
Other Arab journalists can submit their works for the best data journalism story award and the best investigation report in the Arab world (multimedia, short or feature film).
Works can be in English or Arabic and must have been published or broadcast between Nov. 10, 2017 and Oct. 31, 2018.
Winners will have the opportunity to join ARIJ's team by applying for workshops that enhance their investigation skills. Also, ARIJ will provide mentors to assist journalists who aim to complete an investigation, in addition to a financial grant covering the costs of investigation and legal counseling before publishing the report.
The deadline is Oct. 31.
