IJP offers exchange program for German-Northern European journalists [Europe]

Journalists ages 18 to 40 from the Netherlands Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania can apply to take part in an exchange program in Berlin.
The International Journalists' Programmes is organizing the 2018 Dutch and German-Northern European Scholarships.
Five journalists from the Nordic countries and six from the Baltic states will be selected to work for German media outlets for two months in 2019. And five German journalists visit host media in Northern Europe. Six Dutch and six German journalists will be selected for the exchange.
Participants gain personal experience and professional insight of the political landscape, the economy and everyday life in the host country. Fellows will each receive EUR3,500 for the Dutch program or EUR3,800 for the Northern European program.
Candidates should have some knowledge of the German language, although fluent German is not expected. At least workable knowledge of English is essential.
The application deadline is Oct. 15 for the Dutch scholarship and Nov. 15 for Northern European scholarship.
