Journalism Institute offers opportunities for student reporting [US]

Student members of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and the National Association of Black Journalists and students (or December or May graduates) at a historically black college may apply.
The New York Times Student Journalism Institute offers opportunities for students in reporting, copy editing, still photography, video journalism and newspaper page design. The program will be held from May 18 to June 2, 2019 at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism in New York.
Aspiring journalists will learn to produce material that meets the standards of The New York Times. Students will cover actual events in the city.
There is no cost to attend the Institute. Students are provided with room and board and all of their costs, including transportation to and from the Institute, are paid by The New York Times Company.
One student each year will also be awarded an Armando MontaƱo Scholarship to help with his or her educational or professional ambitions.
The deadline is Nov. 15.
