Fact-checking training available [Nigeria]

Midcareer journalists in Sokoto, Kano, Jos and Yola can apply to attend this fact-checking training.

Africa Check's TRi Facts is organizing a two-day training workshop in November.

The workshop will cover standard fact-checking methodology and integrate it with best-practice lessons on political and election reporting, ranging from interview techniques through to ethics and safety.

Candidates must champion fact-checkers within their organization and commit to produce fact-checking reports on a regular basis.

Participants will receive lodging, travel and meals.

The deadline is Sept. 24.
