NCTJ hosts contest for student journalists [UK]

Young student journalists and trainees from the United Kingdom can enter a competition.
The NCTJ Awards for Excellence, sponsored by the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ), honor the best journalism students and journalism trainees. Journalists and photographers with under two years of experience are eligible.
There are several categories available: equality, diversity and inclusion; innovation of the year; news; sports; top scoop; features; multimedia/campaign of the year; student project; student of the year; trainee of the year; apprentice of the year; and chairman's award.
Work must have been produced between Sept. 1, 2017 and Aug. 31, 2018. Awards will be presented at a ceremony in November.
The deadline is Sept. 14.
