Carmignac Foundation launches photojournalism contest [Worldwide]

Photojournalists worldwide can compete in this contest.
The Carmignac Foundation is accepting applications for the 10th annual Carmignac Photojournalism Award. The foundation awards those who wish to go where others will not, visiting zones that are largely ignored by the mainstream media.
The topic of this year's competition is the Amazon and massive deforestation.
The winner will receive a EUR50,000 (US$58,000) grant to support in the implementation, production and promotion of an in-depth photo series. The foundation promotes the award with an international touring exhibition and by financing a monograph.
The application deadline is Oct. 7.
