Africa Centre offers Artists in Residency program [Africa]

Nonfiction writers and videomakers, among others, can apply for a residency program.

The Africa Centre's Artist in Residency Program (AIR) will select early to midcareer artists to spend time at the Bundanon Trust in Australia, Instituto Sacatar in Brazil, the Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Center in Italy or the Fountainhead Residency & International Studio & Curatorial Program in the United States.

Each residency award has a distinct structure, set of requirements and duration. The program covers the cost of the residency and round-trip airfare.

Candidates must be from the African continent, reside in Africa for at least six months of the year and have a high proficiency in English.

The deadline is Oct. 15.
