Midcareer journalists from several
developing countries can apply for a scholarship to attend an RNTC course in
the Netherlands.
The Orange Knowledge
Programme (OKP) is accepting applications for journalism
courses at the Radio Nederland Training Centre (RNTC).
The OKP is funded by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs and run by the
Netherlands Organization for International Cooperation in Higher Education
(NUFFIC).
Candidates
must be from one of these countries: Afghanistan, Macedonia, Albania,
Mozambique, Armenia, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Nepal, Benin, Nicaragua, Bhutan,
Nigeria, Bolivia, Pakistan, Burkina Faso, Palestinian Territories, Burundi,
Peru, Cambodia, Philippines, Colombia, Rwanda, Congo (DRC), Senegal, Cuba,
Sierra Leone, Egypt, Somalia, Ethiopia, South Africa, Georgia, South Sudan,
Ghana, Sri Lanka, Guatemala, Sudan, Guinee, Suriname, India, Tanzania,
Indonesia, Thailand, Jordan, Uganda, Kenya, Vietnam, Lebanon, Yemen, Liberia,
Zambia, Mali and Zimbabwe.
The
fellowships cover travel costs, accommodation and the course fee.
The
deadline to apply for the fellowship program is July 13.
Registration
deadlines for the individual courses vary.
Courses will take place in 2019.
