The Index on Censorship Freedom of Expression Awards honor individuals fighting to speak out in the dangerous and difficult conditions.
Index invites the public, NGOs and media organizations to nominate individuals in four categories: arts, campaigning, digital activism and journalism.
Journalism nominees stand out for courageous, high-impact and determined journalism that exposes censorship and threats to free expression.
Fellows receive 12 months of capacity building, coaching and strategic support, including an all-expenses-paid training week in London in April 2019.
The nomination deadline is Sept. 30.
