UC Berkeley's Investigative Reporting Program at the Graduate School of Journalism will host a professional workshop Sept. 23 to 25.
The training aims to elevate the journalistic standards of independent filmmakers, increase the impact of their stories and help them break new ground. Topics include interviewing and storytelling techniques, fairness, ethics, sources and legal issues.
Financial assistance to attend the workshop is available through the support of the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
The deadline is June 15.
